Greetings from the
Convergence Planning Team!
This is the first in a series of emails going out to all Convergence 2013 registrants to help you get prepared for the big event. We've been dreaming and planning our week together in New Orleans for quite some time and we're excited to greet you in just a few weeks.

Our intent with these emails is to shine a spotlight on our big ticket items, so that you are ready to hit the ground running when you arrive. Rest assured that the Convergence website remains the central hub of all online information pertaining to this event, so be sure to have that site bookmarked and accessible from whatever device you choose, and visit often to sift through all the details of the event.

Breakout Sessions at Convergence:
Your Ticket to Learning

It's been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and in the world of Convergence, it indeed takes a village to create our breakout sessions. We've gathered our teams of experts, both from Microsoft and from the Microsoft Dynamics community at large, to create a catalog of sessions that's sure to be a hit with our Convergence attendees.

For those new to Convergence, you'll first want to become acquainted with the types of sessions available this year via the Session Overview page, as well as the different tracks that are created to help group the sessions by product or topic areas.

Next, as one who's already registered for the event, you can now visit our secured My Convergence section of the website to leverage the Schedule Builder functionality. (Use the credentials you created upon registration completion to login or choose to receive a username or password reminder as needed.) Within Schedule Builder, you'll be able to use various filters to drill down into the specific content you're searching for. Interested in how Microsoft Dynamics AX is designed for manufacturing? Use the Track filter, and the Industry filter to find those sessions. Are you an IT pro, looking to enhance your SharePoint skills? Use the Audience filter, and the Product filter, to root out those sessions. Now that our session content is complete, use Schedule Builder to identify all those topics of interest to you, and create your wish list of sessions.

Then, as we get closer to the event, and you've had a chance to think through your goals and objectives, begin to narrow your choices down so that you have a plan and a schedule for your week in New Orleans. It's always wise to have an option or two identified in the breakout timeslots, as some of the popular sessions may fill to capacity. This year, we'll do our best to alert you to sessions that may fill ahead of time, and we'll have signage on hand to help you identify those full sessions quicker and easier, so that you can adjust your schedule on the fly. That week WILL fly by and you won't want to waste a minute of valuable time there within the Microsoft Dynamics community.

In the next edition of this newsletter, we'll shine the spotlight on the folks that help bring Convergence to life: our Sponsors and Exhibitors.
